Mantras, Kirtan,
Soul songs &
Sound Journeys
I have been working with mantra as a daily practice for around 15 years. I have been a part of a few kirtana groups over the years and have had the blessing of leading kirtan with the harmonium, and support singing for world-renowned kirtan professionals. In 2017, I co-founded the collective Valley Kirtaniyas, a group of musicians and yoga practitioners with whom I sometimes offer kirtan in Dornbirn and the Rheintal.
Mantra (Sanskrit मन्त्र ) is a sacred utterance, a numinous sound, a syllable, word or phonemes, or group of words in Sanskrit, Pali and other languages which has a religious, or spiritual significance. It is a way to pray but to calm and clear the mind, by flooding it with a repeated word or verse.

I have been keenly rediscovering my musical roots, having sung in choirs and played violin and viola before quitting writing and playing music my her late teens. At that time I was going to lots of music gigs and dancing the nights away to the world's best DJ's in clubs in and around London.

Since I retreated into the Lechtal Alps in 2019, I have spent more time experimenting alone with music and mantra, which has birthed an offering of sound journeys which include a weaving together of free singing, mantra, shamanic drumming, percussion, 432Hz crystal chalice and bell, Koshi-bells, Monochord and more.
I'm constantly inspired by the traditional kirtan of the Vaishnava tradition and I am lucky enough to pass some valuable and uplifting time studying, practising and learning among friends and kirtan professionals.
